Service Details & Policies
Please review accepted items, additional service charges, and our laundry care policies before submitting your order.
Items Not Accepted
Soiled clothes, clothes with smoke, king-size comforters, cloth diapers, shoes, pillows, dog beds, seat cushions, fragile items, or dry-clean-only items.
Additional Services & Charges
Additional loads and extra services will be charged to the card on file.
- Laundry Sorting
- Have laundry sorted per family member for an additional $0.50/lb. Please indicate family member sizes when ordering.
- Hang Dry
- An additional $14.95 for the first 10 pounds, then an additional $1.95/lb. Customers must provide hangers for hang-dry items.
- Stain Treatment
- Basic stain treatment (Shout or OxiClean) is available for an additional $1/item.
- Detergents
- Standard Detergent – Tide, Gain, All, etc. is included in the standard price. Molly’s Suds hypoallergenic detergent is available for an additional $2/load.
- Comforters & Quilts
- Comforters and quilts up to queen size are $25 with standard delivery or $35 with same-day delivery. King-size comforters are not accepted.
- Washable Area Rugs
- Machine-washable area rugs up to approximately 5 × 7 ft may be accepted when they fit loosely in a standard washer. Rugs must have a machine-washable care label and cannot have heavy rubber backing. Final acceptance depends on the rug’s material, dry weight, and room to move in the washer. $25 with standard delivery or $35 with same-day delivery.
- Oversized Throw Blankets
- $10 each when one blanket fills the entire washer drum and must be washed as its own load.
- Bed Sheets
- Standard bed sheets are accepted as a standard laundry item.
- Laundry Bags
- One laundry bag is provided for each 20 lb of service. Additional bags are $12 each.
Liability and Laundry Care Policy
While every effort is made to handle your clothing with care, by using Linsey’s Laundry you acknowledge and accept the normal risks associated with standard laundry care:
- Minor shrinkage or stretching.
- Color fading or bleeding.
- Small tears in weakened fabric or seams.
- Wear consistent with the garment’s age or condition.
Loose Items and Pockets
Customers are responsible for checking and completely emptying all garment pockets before pickup. Linsey’s Laundry is not responsible for damage caused by items left in pockets or attached to garments—including pens, permanent markers, crayons, lipstick, gum, keys, or other objects—or for stains, color transfer, tears, or other damage those items may cause to the garment itself or other items washed in the same load. Personal belongings will be set aside if noticed, but garments are not individually inspected before washing.
Damaged Items
If you believe an item was damaged during service, please contact Linsey as soon as possible so we can review the concern together. For an item irreparably damaged due to proven negligence, Linsey’s Laundry liability is limited to the lesser of the item’s fair replacement value or $25 per item. Total liability will not exceed $100 per order.
Exclusions
Linsey’s Laundry is not responsible for:
- Damage caused by delicate construction, weak or worn fabric, loose seams, decorations, or manufacturer defects that may not be visible before washing.
- Shrinking, fading, color bleeding, stretching, pilling, or other ordinary changes that can occur when items are machine washed or dried according to their care labels.
- Damage to cash, jewelry, keys, paper, electronics, or other personal items left inside pockets or attached to clothing.
By submitting items for service, you confirm acceptance of these terms and limits of liability.
